We’re gradually getting Hammer for Mac brought up to date, after a some time off from being developed. OSX versions have changed, APIs have changed, core libraries have moved on. As a result, not everything that used to work is guaranteed to still work. Please be patient with us as we work to resolve the most important issues first. This page contains information about the most prominent known issues, along with any short term fixes or workarounds.
Hammer Window Not Showing (v6.8.0 non-MAS)
For existing Hammer users upgrading to the new version downloaded from the Hammer website, you may find after activating your new Hammer license that the main window doesn’t appear.
If this is the case, close all of your Hammer apps and run the following command in the terminal:
rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Riot/Hammer/AppData/Apps.plist
This should only be required once.
Hammer Window Not Showing (v1.7.5 MAS)
After loading Hammer for Mac, then closing the app, then trying to re-open, the main app window does not load. We’re working on a fix for this at the moment, in the short term, you can kick start the application with a reset - by deleting a couple of corrupted .plist files. Use these commands in your terminal to reset the application:
rm ~/Library/Containers/com.riot.hammer/Data/Library/Application\ Support/Riot/Hammer/AppData/Apps.plist
This will clear your Hammer projects, which you’ll need to re-add to Hammer once it reloads.
